About PSS

Long before Plano Stroller Society existed, I loved hosting. Dinner parties, gatherings, bringing different groups of women into the same room — it was always my favorite thing. I could picture a hundred women around a table. I just never knew what the common thread would be.

Some friends loved crafts. Others didn’t. Some had children. Others didn’t. Nothing felt cohesive enough to build around.

Then came motherhood.

At story time at our local library, I began noticing something simple but consistent: moms lingering after class, wanting to talk to the woman next to them, but hesitating. The shared glance. The almost-conversation. The quiet waiting for someone else to go first.

I went home and told my husband there was a gap — not a lack of desire for connection, just a lack of structure to get there. He said, “Why don’t you start a mom club?”

So I did.

I created the Instagram that day and scheduled one stroller walk two weeks later. I would have been thrilled if one woman showed up.

Nearly fifty did.

When they asked, “When’s the next walk?” I knew this was it. The common thread had been there all along. We may all come from different backgrounds and interests, but we share one defining role: motherhood.

What began as a single walk has grown into a modern social club serving over 2,500 women in Plano and the surrounding area. Today, PSS hosts monthly walks, curated gatherings, volunteer initiatives, and thoughtfully planned events designed to make connection consistent and natural.

PSS exists for new moms, moms new to the area, women navigating maternity leave — and anyone who wants to experience motherhood alongside others in the same season.

At its core, PSS is simple: create the space, and connection follows. Bridging the gap has always been the calling. PSS is simply the space that made it possible.

Meet the Founder

Plano Stroller Society was founded by stylist and creative Jenna Vanzant Underwood.

Before motherhood, Jenna spent over a decade working as a wardrobe stylist and photographer, collaborating with national brands including Neiman Marcus, JC Penney, Justin Boots, and Michaels. Her work centered on visual storytelling — building cohesive narratives through style, detail, and thoughtful presentation.

After welcoming her daughter Layla, her focus shifted — not away from creativity, but toward community.

PSS became the intersection of both: a thoughtfully curated space designed to help women feel confident walking into a room and connected once they’re there.

Her background in styling continues to shape the intentionality behind the club — from curated events to redefining the “mom uniform” with confidence and ease.

While she still takes on select creative projects, her primary focus is building a community where women feel seen, connected, and supported.
